Overview
HR Focus has developed three different programmes for resellers – one each for value added resellers, associated resellers and reference resellers. A formal Reseller Agreement is entered into and governs the terms and conditions of all business transactions between HR Focus and the reseller. This agreement is valid for 1 year from the effective date and needs to be renewed each year on this anniversary date.
 
Value Added Reseller (VARs)
This programme is intended for resellers who want to be HR Focus Sales, Implementation and Support partners. Key to this programme is that it complements HR Focus’ footprint in remote geographies and/or functional/vertical industries where HR Focus is not able to operate due to lack of presence or expertise (ie outsourcing). Most often these resellers already operate in the Human Resources or related services market as system integrators, service providers or consultants. They may already have proven skills and experience in implementing and supporting similar systems and/or an established customer base. VARs are appointed in accordance with HR Focus business needs in a particular market or geography.
 
Associated Resellers (ARs)
This programme is intended for resellers who want to promote and sell HR Focus’ products as an extension of their own product portfolios, but who have no interest in meeting minimum sales targets, implementing HR Focus products or providing support to customers once systems are implemented. Key to this programme is a progressive discount schedule that increases (becomes more lucrative) as the AR sells more software. Typically these are accomplished reseller organisations who have built their businesses through selling and supporting one or more primary products like Great Plains, SAP and ORACLE. ARs are strictly appointed by HR Focus.
 
Reference Resellers (RRs)
This programme is intended for those individuals or organizations that may from time to time come across an initiative that warrants promoting HR Focus products or services but who have no facilities to sell, implement or support HR Focus’ products, or who can’t achieve minimum sales to achieve AR status. Typically these are individuals or organizations who may come across these deals and who take the initiative to inform HR Focus about a prospective customer (or vice versa). RRs are appointed subject to approval by HR Focus.

The principal channel to market at HR Focus is direct, through business development personnel who are very familiar with both the HR/Payroll industry and our products.
 
An Indirect Channel has been established to compliment HR Focus’ selling capabilities through accomplished agencies in geographies or vertical markets where HR Focus did not have the presence, or the requisite experience, to operate successfully. This programme has recently been revised and now features a new Value Added Reseller (VAR) and Associated Reseller (AR) programme. The VAR programme is intended for resellers who are Sales and System Integration partners and who want to focus on HR Focus products as an extension to their own. The AR programme is intended for resellers who are Sales partners who want to offer HR Focus products in addition to their own.
