Established in 1997, HR-Focus has more than 101 customers in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Mauritius, Malawi, Swaziland and Nigeria, many of whom run both HR-Focus’ HR and Payroll systems. Our customers are among the top 2,000 state, public and private enterprises in Southern Africa. More than 230,000 employees are administered through HR-Focus systems each month, the average number of employees per customer equal 950, positioning HR-Focus in the upper mid-market for HR, Payroll and Employee Self Service Solutions.
 
Key reference customers in South Africa include Edcon Group, Pick ‘n Pay, Anglo Coal, Nando’s, Limpopo Legislature, Eastern Cape Development Corp, Public Protector, Independent Development Trust, Logical Options, Paracon, Parmalat and Mangaung Municipality. Key reference customers in the rest of Africa include, Botswana Telecommunications, Botswana Telecomms Authority, Botswana Postal Services, Botswana Power Corporation, Mauritius Commercial Bank, Kenya Post Bank, Swaziland Water Services, Commercial Bank of Malawi and Zambian Public Service Pension Fund, where more than 65,000 pensioners are administered through HR-Focus’ systems.
 
HR-Focus has proven its ability to handle large installations in complex operating environments with a proven technology, customisation and support approach. The company has reached a stage where it’s proven technologies and implementations represent a strong base from which to grow its installed base and market share. Management believes that the company is in a position to become the dominant supplier of HR management and payroll solutions in Southern Africa. Already HR-Focus has more HR installations in Southern Africa than any of its direct competitors ie PeopleSoft, JDE, SAP and Oracle HR.
 
All solutions are developed in the latest client/server technology using Microsoft SQL database technologies.. The conversion from legacy systems to client/server and web-based technologies is complex and difficult; and many of the local competitors have failed to complete this successfully. These legacy systems simply do not offer the flexibility and compatibility required to compete into the future. HR-Focus new web-based solutions are being developed in the latest Microsoft .NET technologies to ensure better interoperability and integration with existing and emerging technologies.
