MY Focus is a comprehensive Employee and Manager Self Service (ESS / MSS) solution that utilises functionality within HR Focus and enables personal details administration, and selected workflow routing (leave applications, training applications, performance management and eRecruitment) through a standard web browser (IE5 or better).
Based on the look and feel of Microsoft XP in general, MY Focus offers functionality for 3 different user classes, the employee, the manager (or supervisor) and the system administrator.
Employees are the principal beneficiaries of the system and are able to initiate a number of functions on a self-service basis, subject to approval by Managers, setup in the system by the Administrator. For instance, employees are able to change personal address details, bank details or next of kin details themselves on the employee database through the system. If the modified information is deemed sensitive by the administrator, it may first be presented for review/approval by the employee’s supervisor before these changes are effected in the employee database. The employer may require this to ensure that critical operational information (like bank details) is not changed at will.
