Payroll 2010 Information Session - Tuesday, February 16, 2010

 

HR Focus clients are invited to attend the HR Focus Information session on the Payroll 2010 SARS submission.
 
The information session will cover the final requirements for the SARS 2010 submission and the impact that these changes will have for 2010 and future submissions as well as specific details of changes and setups relating to our Payroll Solution.

SARS 2010 Update - Monday, November 09, 2009

 

SARS have released the specifications and details of the critical changes required for employers for 2010 IRP5 submission period.

 
The PAYE Quick Guide for Employers and the new business requirements Specification : PAYE 2010 provide more details on the specific changes and impact on employers, these documents are available on the  SARS website www.sars.gov.za
 
 
Tips
 
-          Read the Guides and Business requirements Specification from SARS
-          Inform employees that it is their responsibility to:
o    supply employers with correct demographic details
o    to register for income tax if they earn above R 60 000, however if they do not done so, the employer has the right to do so on their behalf
-          Run an internal campaign asking employees to submit their latest personal information to you (the employer) and update your systems accordingly, for clients with My Focus we suggest that you use the campaign manager to prompt employees to update their own details 
-          Run reports to identify Data that is required
-          Do a data cleanup to ensure that you experience a smooth 2010 submission
-          Start checking if all employees are registered for income tax. You can use the new version of  e@syFile which should be available in  the next few months ( SARS will inform e@syfile users) to verify income tax
     reference numbers or register  employees if required
